Croatian footballer Ivan Perišić joins PSV after leaving Hajduk, signing a contract until 2025. He is eager to win trophies and continue his career in a competitive environment.
Ivan Perišić has officially joined PSV Eindhoven after leaving Hajduk Split earlier this year. The Croatian international completed his medical and signed a contract with the Dutch giants that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.
Many expected Perišić to remain at Hajduk, but after just six months, he opted for a new challenge in Europe. Although there were rumors of a potential return to Serie A, the experienced winger ultimately chose PSV, a club currently at the top of the Eredivisie and competing in the Champions League.
"Since becoming a free agent, I’ve been waiting for this kind of opportunity—a club and environment where I can feel good and where I can win trophies. I asked my former teammate Denzel Dumfries for advice, and he confirmed that PSV was the right choice for me. I can’t wait to get started, give my all, and help win some silverware," Perišić said in his first interview with PSV’s official website.
His arrival has also excited PSV’s sporting director Earnest Stewart, who praised Perišić’s experience and versatility:
"With so much football experience, you have to be a great player who’s rarely injured to achieve such longevity. The departure of Hirving Lozano created space on the wing, and Ivan can also play in multiple positions, so signing him has solved several problems at once," Stewart added.
