Last week, Paris FC finalized its ownership transfer to Bernard Arnault and his luxury empire LVMH, with Red Bull also joining the structure to contribute its expertise in football operations. The ownership group aims to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window, ensuring a smooth promotion to Ligue 1, France’s top division.
According to RMC Sport, Mario Gomez, the legendary German striker and current Red Bull technical director, will be the primary liaison for Red Bull in Paris. Gomez has been a key figure in Red Bull’s football operations since 2022, overseeing projects in Brazil (RB Bragantino), the United States (New York Red Bulls), and Germany (RB Leipzig).
While Jurgen Klopp, Red Bull's newly appointed global football director, will be involved in some meetings regarding Paris FC, RMC reports that his priorities lie elsewhere and he will not be deeply engaged in building the Parisian project’s foundation.
